collected pictures 1

Hi been a long time and as you might have noticed I have gone gluten free and started a new gluten free blog.
So I am just uploading collected pictures of baking since we last spoke to tidy up so to speak.
Who knows what the future may bring?

Here is a short selection of my diet as it was, in July 2012 if I am reading the mobile date correctly.
Doesn't it look healthy and fairly minimal gluten by coincidence.
As a matter of interest, if anyone is interested, I have gone down from 95k to 85k now. That is weight, not salary unfortunately.
So here is some good looking tray bakes and other snacks. I will leave out the plates of egg, chips and beans and bars of chocolate that interrupted my perfect diet hee hee.

A nice little before and after tray bake featuring sweet potatoes and butternut squash if memory serves me.

Tasty looking tray bake

Another tasty wholesome before and after tray bake

    Now for some tasty sandwiches,
I'm going to have to practice my bread making to get a good gluten-free sandwich loaf.

Do I know how to make a great sarnie or what?

Home made jam! Apple and blueberry if memory serves me well

Another great sandwich from Pa

And some nice fruity snacks to cleanse the palate

Self explanatory I think but I'm getting peckish just posting it.

A little bit of fun to finish today I think.

Playing with your food is great fun
Well if anyone finds and reads this thanks for looking and remember to taste and enjoy whatever you eat.

My Vegetarian Diet Day ?4 20/07/12

Hi, this one is a day late and i can't remember much of what i was thinking yesterday. However the cupboard was bare and it was raining all day so i didn't go out to shop. You will see how that affects my diet. :-)

  Breakfast

      1 Banana
Small bar of dark chocolate, 85% cocoa

  Lunch

      1 wholemeal bread sandwich

Home made parsnip and blueberry jam :-)

  Dinner

      4 slices of pineapple

      1 can of vegetable soup

In a big mug

      Chips and baked beans

Chinese takeaway chips
a splash of brown sauce
salt and vinegar to taste

  Supper

      Valencia oranges

  Drinks

Coffee, milky coffee, vodka, tea, water.

Well i remember a little now, i did make the marvelous jam though the recipe and notes were in the lost notebook, so the recipe page hasn't gone up.
There we are and Tich is giving me the heavy eyeball now, wanting to be taken out, so i'm off and you will have to make your own minds up about the healthiness of today's grub.

Eat well and enjoy your food

                      Love from Pa

   24g  Chocolate (as before)

I can't believe i forgot to photograph my interesting dinner of egg, chips and tomatoes. Doh!.
I also didn't photo my Adventures in yoghurt or Adventures in preserves. Lost the plot a bit, especially during jam making but there you go. Will get my little adventures up on their respective pages as soon as possible.
On the plus side, i didn't skarfe the bar of chocolate all in one go.
On the minus, chips from the Chinese, though i didn't eat the whole portion all in one go, look out for their reappearance in future meals.
By the way, meal titles are more to do with the order things are eaten/drank in, and the gaps between, than any real correlation between food and title.

   Pint of water
   Mug of tea with milk

Midnight feast

   104g  Beetroot
   35g    Brie cheese
   Mug of tea with milk

Looks like i am eating a lot of Brie, the only easy munchy in the fridge, will have to think about that.
Yes, there are a lot of noodles in my diet, I hope that is a good thing. I am trying to cut out bread products as my main carb. Noodles and potatos are replacing, though i have now finished that bag of spuds. Don't normally buy reds but have enjoyed them and they haven't sprouted as quickly as whites normally do.
Would type more but i am involved in a long winded and irritating internet 'chat' with my mobile phone providers. Wishing I hadn't had so much coffee today. Grrr.

Have fun people and whatever you are eating today, remember to appreciate it.
